For now, Swiss watchmakers are looking to the Chinese market to pick up pace and ensure their 2023 export growth.

China is the world's largest source of counterfeit Swiss watches.

They could have exploding growth rates, if they just would produce their excellent watches for every wallet sizes. An A-line production or better let’s say manufacturing, for the super riches in highest quality, limited and numbered and with best materials. And then a B- and C-line, with the same basic designs, but less expensive and with less quality , design details or using cheaper materials etc. That would even bring down the illegal copying sector to very low margins and market threats.
