Gusto family restaurant chain reveals mystery girl

Family restaurant chain Gusto, operated by the Skylark Group, has revealed the mystery girl featured in its Cheese in Hamburger special campaign. The girl is the Grand Prix winner of the All Japan National Beautiful Girl Contest of last year, Ayano Kudo, 13.

In the two-week campaign, the girl was only seen from the back on a special website for viewers to speculate on her identity. Each day, she would turn slightly to give viewers a hint as to her possible identity.

Kudo will also appear in the new commercial for its Cheese in Hamburger, which will be her debut. In the commercial, she beams and says, "I am so happy to be surrounded by the smell of the hamburger.”

she beams and says, “I am so happy to be surrounded by the smell of the hamburger.”

And I would be so happy to be surrounded by the smell of 13 year old winners of beauty contests!

Ayano Kudo, got to google this. Why are they using a 13 year old girl that looks like 21. Bet there will be more groping on the train tomorrow, and when they get caught they will say they were happy to be surrounded by the smell of a hot 13 year old girl. Sick society in some ways.

Googgled and goggled. This girl has nice legs and a great smile. I wish her luck and I hope her parents accompany all of the shoots and commercials etc., as there will be a lot of gropers for sure.

I must find another pick-up line now -but I hope the women are not mad that i considered them being 13.

Actually one can relate to the hamburger statement if you think of it as a 13 year old hamburger rather than a young girl. This is a weird promotion to say the least. Use an adult please. And it is not her debut.

Last year when she won the All Japan Bishojo Contest, she got 2 million yen, and when asked what she wanted to do with the money, she said she wanted to buy a new bicycle. She must have got a pretty darn tootin' good one!

Japan oh Japan! So incredibly juvenile and immature. The commercial too...

Goddog, I'm guessing they mean it's a debut in the sense that this will be her first legitimate COMMERCIAL rather than just a picture on a web page. The two-week promotion was on their "special website for viewers to speculate on her identity".

And I'm hoping the translation into English was responsible for the "Eww! Factor" in her tagline: "I am so happy to be surrounded by the smell of the hamburger." (I'm successfully resisting the urge to comment on her joy at being surrounded by smelly meat)

I am so happy to be surrounded by the smell of the hamburger

Can absolutely relate to that, as I was born in Hamburg and my wife sometimes makes remotely similar comments...

PS. And for the cheese, I could just bring my foot close to her face...

I am so happy to be surrounded by the smell of the hamburger.

This is classic !

Give her a break guys. She is just a teenager. Think back. The smell of hamburger bars when you start your independent life hanging out with your friends. Of course its one of the most important things for her.

If she was 25 and said the same thing, I would be in on the mocking.

This "girl" is a 13 year-old child, for heaven's sake!

She didn't come up with the line the stupid marketing department did.

Why is it weird to use a young girl in a commercial? So she likes the smell of the hamburg in the commercial. I don't get what's weird about that.

Regardless, Its the perfect line for a 13 year old to use. Not stupid at all. She is not a sex object. She is just a teen. Teens hangout in cheap hamburger bars with each other. They have no money for anything else. Leave her alone some of you. She is not being exploited. Right age, right line.

“I am so happy to be surrounded by the smell of the hamburger.”

She is cute, but that does not change my mind about the low quality food at this restaurant. I just hope they start paying their managers properly for overtime.
