Good on them. Maybe Sony and/or Sharp should hire some of their management.

Jersey, please stop talking about businesses here. You really aren't bringing anything to the table here.

9.6 trillion yen for the fiscal year to March, up from a previous outlook of 9.5 billion yen. That's quite a difference ;-)

ekarlo -- and what exactly did your post "bring to tthe table"? Respectfully, the folks, like yourself, who don't like hearing about the major structural problems that are keeping J-Inc. stuck in its decades-long funk, either don't see the reality of Japan losing its global competitiveness, or, see it, but don't want to acknowledge it, because your future is tied to Japan. And that is why you get so defensive.

If the massive profits that these companies are reporting along with the salary/bonus increases us skilled workers are getting continue I hope we get some more 'major structural problems' and remain in a 'decades-long funk'.

ekarlo is correct. You are not bringing anything to the table for Hitachi doesn't fit your over generalized, over repeated "J-inc." (whatever that is) mold.
