I wonder who makes their TVs now? If they have outsourced to subpar makers people wouldn't know what they are buying. Abroad and especially in some regions Hitachi brand name is very strong though so they can sell anything.
BTW Hitachi makes the best electric motors, so their vacuum cleaners and washing machines are great!
