Hard to tell, Companies will bury reports that may harm their business in the present, since that's all that matters - thereafter it could be some other CEO's issue to deal with. An interesting case to follow.

Even after dozens of air bag ruptures killed or seriously injured Honda customers, Honda continued to equip its vehicles with dangerous Takata air bags and waited years to take action to protect consumers,"

That is the undeniable fact that will lead to many automakers being held accountable. They should have stopped using Takata airbags after the very first proven case of injury way back in the early 2000's, but they didn't, which makes the above statement true and all the automakers liable. My car is a 2008 Honda Stepwgn and it was only in January this year I received the recall notice. That is many years after the airbags were proven to be deadly. The difficult part for the prosecuting attorneys will be proving from when were the carmakers aware of the defect.

Honda seems the next target of Japan-bashing by US.  US won't allow any Japanese company to be very big.  Only the West and Chinese/Korean companies are allowed.

Typical of the victim mentality of Japanese nationalists. Why is everyone always picking on us? We couldn't possibly ever be to blame about anything? Like a bleating lamb.
