"Honda headquarters is sweltering, executives are without ties and reporters are fanning themselves in a scene illustrative of Japan’s struggles to conserve electricity after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami sent a nuclear plant into meltdown
In addition to the problems at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, which are expected to take years to resolve, another nuclear plant has been shut down over safety fears."
Since this is an article from AP, we can assume it ran in media in the U.S. and other countries. And comments like those above certainly don't make people believe things are getting any better in Japan. Going to be a tough summer for the tourism business here.
sharpie
would be a lot better if he wasnt standing right in front of it
papasmurfinjapan
Actually, take a look at the car on the Honda website, and you'll realise exactly why he is standing in front of it. The back of the car looks hideous.
shogun36
you're not kidding. the back end of the car is like a station wagon from the 80's. whoever designed it needs to be fired.

"casual beige jacket"
Heh, when the temperature is over 30 as it soon will be, that casual beige jacket will be incredibly uncomfortably hot.
"That really is one ugly car"
It really isn't.
"that's butt ugly"
No it isn't.

It's a little bit ugly. Then again, the original Fit isn't winning any beauty contests either.

Looks fair to me. =This is a stretched Fit -What do people expect. 70mpg in a larger vehicle is the selling point.

@ Keika - The same thing was said about the Nissan Cube - Every American I talked to thought it was dog ugly (no offence to goddog), but now they are quite the "cute" care in the USA. People WILL buy this care in the Americas. They will. My crystal ball says so.
