The new jet will have one engine on each wing and will be 20 percent more fuel efficient than its rivals, it said.

So rivals like Textron or Dassault are all hopeless and just waiting for that to happen you think ?

That type of statement is so arrogant no sane engineer believes it .

Gaining a few percentage of energy efficiency would already by nowadays standard be a technological achievement.

The earlier one sold like hot cakes but, it was too small?

With flights available on commercial planes to every Japanese prefecture who needs a private jet?

Oh, how about getting Kishida to downsize from his large jets?

The earlier one sold like hot cakes but, it was too small?

It couldn't cross the continental US non-stop and needed a fuel stop. This one promises to make the trip non-stop.

Big corporate executives need it to travel abroad, to say China or Southeast Asia.

Oh, how about getting Kishida to downsize from his large jets?

A Japanese Prime Minister travel across the world with a large entourage of aids and press corp, and a communications system to stay in touch with Japanese government at all times.

Only a Boeing 777 or an Airbus A350 will do the job.

Indeed, this jet is a 100% engineered and manufactured in America jet with American staff, the only Japanese being its president.

Think of HondaJet as a Honda financed American Corporation.

At first glance, I thought this was a flying sanma (saury fish) in the sky, not swimming in the ocean. Awesome disguise.

Just in the name of Honda corporation, nothing has to be build in Japan. Because the Americand won't let Japan owning her aviation industry.
