I wish they had mentioned the models and years. Otherwise, this news is pretty worthless.

The list of vehicles impacted has been available for a long time. https://www.nhtsa.gov/equipment/takata-recall-spotlight is the most "official" source.

Have your VIN ready. Their tool will check for all recalls, not just this one.

I had a seat belt sensor fail on a 17 yr old Acura last year. It was replaced free by the dealer with minimal hassle.

I had the inflator replaced in my Honda Stepwgn last year in Japan. It could take another decade to replace all the Takata inflators because the company is defunct and only have a small crew making replacements. It’s truly disgusting this company continued to make these inflators for nearly twenty years knowing they were faulty.

Don't worry, you will get a letter in the mail. If you don't return for a repair, then they send you the mail like every week to annoy the hell out of you.
