This car looks fab, although I can't see it selling in large numbers in the USA, why? well its gone to a 4 cylinder 1.5 ltr it should be a V8 15 ltr,, 5 speed box is fine and ok, 10 is very complicated and theres more to go wrong mentality, it goes around corners, its more reliable, and its better built, all of these thing won't go down well in the USA, and will they accept gas hybrid technology? the whole concept of going from 5 MPG to 45+ is a whole new concept for some people.

Gasoline is still relatively cheap. As long as it is, hybrids won't make sense there, or any large country where long distances are driven regularly at a constant speed (Australia and Canada in particular).

Hybrids have always been vehicles that made sense in heavily populated areas and in Japan it's the perfect environment for them. Until EVs provide enough range to make real sense in larger countries with long distances covered by the average driver, it will be hard for hybrids to make any real impact there, no matter how good they are.
