Many Americans use TikTok for their business and will just move on to the next stupid social media platform and things will continue as usual if it shuts down.

TikTok is like just another cockroach in the house. Even if it's snuffed out, in a matter of very measurable time, no one will care except for any TT investors (which no one outside their world will care about that either). Youtube shorts would work OK and things will just move forward with TikTok long forgotten...
