"It is very hard to extract what the true number is from the police state. And China supplies the arms to Hamas via Iran".

Not really, it is pretty simple if you consult authoritative and independent sources, not the ones spread out by the "Western players" on the front for their own interest. Every single nation which joins the Nato alliance is forced to buy weapons made in the Usa. Washington is doing business with Taiwan supporting his own military industry. What would they say, if China provided Cuba with military equipment? What if Russia asks Mexico to place their missiles on the border with Usa? Thats where the hypocrisy of the world really about, and nobody will ever answer those questions. We all want peace and dialogue, but first come the economic interests. And we all know who the big players are.

Thank you for the feedback Desert Tortoise. Everyone is just shooting random numbers here

And China supplies the arms to Hamas via Iran.

Not as much as you think. Very little in fact. First of all Hamas assembles and in some cases fully manufactures arms themselves in Gaza, everything from assault rifles to rockets to anti tank missiles. The great majority of the material and expertise comes from Iran and to a lesser extent from North Korea. They also buy whatever is available in the Middle East, which is quite a bit and some of that is undoubtedly made in China.

If you look at Iran's military they make almost all of their arms in house. These weapons are often domestic copies of Russian, Chinese, American, Italian, German, South African, even Israeli weapons. Iran builds their own copy of the Israeli Spike anti tank missile as well as copies of America's BGM-71 TOW. They make a copy of the Chinese copy of the M-16. They also make copies of the M-4 carbine. Much of Iran's artillery including their artillery rockets are copies of Russia, Chinese and North Korean weapons but they are made in Iran. Iran and North Korea cooperate on the development of ballistic and cruise missile technologies. The cruise missiles DPRK is testing appear to be copies of existing Iranian cruise missiles.

But Israel has actually been pretty successful in keeping the best Chinese arms out of the hands of its Middle East enemies. How? Israel provides China with considerable help with military technologies and operational art. Israel taught China how to integrate helmet mounted sights into their aircraft weapons systems, taught the Chinese a great deal about electronic warfare and have provided other advanced technologies. The quid pro quo was that in exchange for this help China would not sell their best military tech or hardware to Israel's enemies, and so far that agreement seems to have held. You don't see J-10s or J-115s in any Middle Eastern Air Force. You don't see China's long range cruise missiles in the region. Etc..

China is building more weapons than anybody else, their dog Russia is responsible for Ukraine, and their dog Iran is responsible for Gaza. Respectful of others my a.

This is where I distance myself at some point. People coming up with all sorts of estimate and "hearsay". I advice you to check credible and independent sources like the SIPRI Military Expenditure Database. United Stated of America military spending rose to $916 billion in 2023, as opposed to $296 billion spent by China in 2023. Way more than Russia or Iran. Saying that the latter country is responsible for Gaza, when everyone knows who is providing the weapons, does not really deserve an answer.

China didn't end up with the world's largest navy by spending little on defense. It is very hard to extract what the true number is from the police state. And China supplies the arms to Hamas via Iran.

This is exactly what I was referring to, TaiwanNotChina

Communism might not be the perfect system of social organization but neither capitalism is, despite what US driven propaganda might lead you to believe. China 'improper' government has brought out of poverty 500 millions people, and based on my own experience every single Chinese is as proud as every average American who votes for Trump. And the country is super safe and respectful of others, unlike American streets. As your name might suggest you do not like Beijing policies, and I do not confute that, but I wonder how the belief by which national interest profit from wars (Gaza, Ukraine) and a foreign policy based on enlarging military bases and the production of weapons might change the world into a better place.

For years Mr. Musk has claimed his cars do not need Lidar for successful self driving

...and he still believes this. Except (and IMHO) he's a bigger jelly fish than he claim to be, ie spineless when it comes to the CCP. Reports says he's willing to use Baidu's lane level mapping and use lidar in China because or else FSD won't be available at all in China.

I have always liked Tesla cars, fanstastic cars, but Musk is just mushy, wet fish. He carries on about free speech but on appearance, gagged all the workers he sacked recently, not even on X.

May I suggest use of CS canisters, a very efficient way of dealing with these types, especially if you’re close enough to have some of it crystallize on your skin or clothing

It seem to me that is pretty much the opposite. This rhetoric anti China being fed by Washington has reached unprecedented levels, and the comments above are a very clear evidence on how the world is upside down, in terms of ethics, right and wrong.

Nothing is more unethical than a corrupt communist party, leaching off of people for generations.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

The way that capitalists treats labor is miles better than communist regimes treats their labor.

This is true but you can never get it through their tankie skulls. Commies simply retort with “well that wasn’t real communism”, deferring to some fantastical idealized version of communism to prove their point

This is an example of what a sham Elon Musk is and why people are increasingly turning away from his cars. For years Mr. Musk has claimed his cars do not need Lidar for successful self driving. He has steadfastly maintained, even as his cars crash, that cameras and machine learning were all that was required for safe, successful self driving.

But alas it turns out that Tesla does indeed use Lidar and are in fact Luminar's largest customer. All these years he's been bull-s__g everyone.

That explains why they keep catching fire or crashing unexplainably.

Made in china.

Nope. Probably the majority of those crashes you read about are in the US, predominantly Fremont California made Teslas with battery packs from their Panasonic run mega factory in Nevada. It has nothing to do with where the cars are made. Tesla technology has fundamental flaws.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Then why are people buying them?

Increasingly people aren't buying Teslas. Their sales are falling. Their cars have serious problems that Tesla does not remedy adequately and their chairman offends so many people that many simply won't give their hard earned to Elon Musk, so their business goes to another manufacturer. Tesla isn't the only game any more. They have many more competitors than they did five years ago.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Tesla is a financial vehicle for its fascist owner to accumulate wealth, to spread his fascist racist agendas. It is why more consumers turn off from purchasing Tesla. No matter the quality but reputation matter. Musk destroys his enterprise by claiming fake free speech. Hopefully my comment is allowed by JT? It is about why Tesla is nothing but financing corrupt power. Arigato!

Why aren't they protesting the china-nese EVs that have infested so many countries,

Half the world's Tesla's "infesting" many countries are made in China.

At least in modern, free Germany these people have the right to stage protests.

Imagine the consequences for protesters at the Tesla factories in Communist China.

Doesn't make any sense. Protesting because the plant is too small would make more sense.

The idea is to make Tesla look bad while their communist competitors from the east swoop in with orders for their home-made death machines which have a remotely operated kill switch and can also spy on you by remotely turning on the car microphone.

It's embarrassing, but I learned only recently the environmental and social problems caused by mining of lithium and cobalt which are essential elements in production of batteries. Besides, machines required for these mining emit significant amount of carbon dioxide. I am afraid that these issues are overlooked, or intentionally ignored, by EV businesses and politicians to impress upon the public that EV is the "final solution". I'm obliged to agree to: "Globally, we also know that we don't need more electric cars," she said, adding that what was required was a totally different way of thinking about mobility." Let Elon focus on Mars colonization rather than saving the earth.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I have always suspected that an alliance of authoritarian regimes, and extreme left loonies fund these groups. Now I know it's true. LOL... these protesters have no idea.

The way that capitalists treats labor is miles better than communist regimes treats their labor.

Google the Darien Gap, there are thousands of Chinese laborers trying to reach USA.

These "protestors".....are they on the CCP's payroll?

No that’s the old ineffective US playbook and this shows the familiarity with funding separatists and terrorists as proxies to fight your wars in the West.

Kind of like China funding Iran?

As soon as eco-terrorists and their companies gain market share of EV’s, we will “need more electric cars.” This is the equivalent of flipping the checkers board and throwing a tantrum when you’ve lost to the competition.

Consumer cars should be made in countries with cheap labor, energy and low environmental standards like China etc.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the point of buying an EV?

3 ( +8 / -5 )

I don’t think Germany or any developed country needs these type of plants. Especially, there is nothing technologically crucial in making cars except maybe software. Consumer cars should be made in countries with cheap labor, energy and low environmental standards like China etc.

China EVs are very good, becoming better each year. Tesla is an amazing company, not perfect but not a company that stifles their competition. Even I support Tesla, I also support protesting and activism as a way to improve and develop society.

There is a dangerous and growing trend in most western country of hard core Marxists who will do anything to destroy all that is good.

Electric cars are suppose to save us from the environmental and CO2 damage caused by fossil fuel powered cars. One woudn't think so seeing these demonstrations.
