the European Commission aims to ban the sale of new fossil fuel cars from 2035

8 more years to go before a total ban in UK.

13 more years to go before a total ban in EU.

8 more years go to before a 50% max ICE fleet permitted in US.

Relying entirely on electrification is putting your eggs in one basket.

All options, including efficient ICE vehicles using low-carbon fuels, hybrids, battery electric and hydrogen vehicles, should be part of the future car mix, I say.

Having said so, maybe I'll trade it in my Supra for a new GR86 instead of some glorified iPad on wheels.

That "glorified iPad on wheels" (of which they're nothing of the sort), will smoke your 235HP/184lbft butt at the stoplight, 0-60, 0-100, the 1/4 mile, etc every time. But, hey, at least you can make a lot of noise while getting smoked.

Or, just get yourself an EV GR86:

FYI, the driving experience isn't all about straight line acceleration or the specifications on paper.

Knowing the difference says a lot about one's driving skills and there's more to driving than stoplight racing.

My 2 cents.
