Ghosn's Renault lieutenant drew extra salary via holding, documents show

There is nothing to suggest that the payments by Renault-Nissan BV (RNBV) were illegal or violated Renault-Nissan rules, but they highlight governance issues and potential conflicts of interest.

No but this is just another article in an attempt to make Ghosen "appear" guilty of something. You can deflect the issue by saying there was nothing illegal, but the writer is making it seem differently. The casual reader is going to read the article title and make assumptions based upon it and not the 3rd paragraph into it!

If there is nothing illegal, put this at the beginning, but then you wont have people "thinking" something was wrong!

Nissan "leaking" data again...

Renault declined to comment directly on Sepehri's RNBV pay as a board member of the Dutch holding company, which has not previously been reported. Sepehri did not respond to Reuters requests for comment.

There is only one possible source for this information / documents that Reuters has seen: Nissan executives!

If I were Renault, I would be livid, which it seems they are:

"Individual compensation, while entirely justified, is not publicly disclosed, in accordance with the law," a Renault spokesman said in an emailed statement. "Renault would be outraged by any publication of an identified executive's pay, which constitutes personal information."

If I were Renault, regardless of Ghosn's future, I would make it my mission to gain majority control of Nissan and oust the senior management, starting with Saikawa!

At least this article is in "Business" rather than "Crime"!

this is much more than "unexpected resignation", this matter IS crime ;

were designed explicitly to keep the company's board and shareholders in the dark about significant compensation to the CEO, while working within the law and Renault-Nissan rules.

Because it is yet another case of underhand behaviour, by a team who's thoughts and decisions ought to be about Corporate Direction, not themselves.

If they were working within the law, then there is no crime.

Ghosn and Nissan senior director Greg Kelly, who are at the center of a financial misconduct scandal engulfing the carmaking alliance, approved payments totaling 500,000 euros ($572,000) to Renault General Secretary Mouna Sepehri, who is responsible for corporate governance in her role as board secretary.

CFO, accountants, shareholders and Lawyers in the process of salaries of high profile figures in public trading companies..

Where are these reporters coming from and why aren't they questioning the financial dept... Where are the accountants and CFO to all these flash stories and why is Saikawa and bis corrupt goons who ousted Ghosn never being questioned??

Carlos Ghosn is with bed and rice, same as any old person, his friend Greg is out on bail and had his treatment for his back condition, and Munoz has quietly resigned.

Every board Carlos Ghosn was on was bullied to get as much money for Carlos Ghosn, yes keep it legal, that way it last for twenty years.

Munoz was forced to quit, Greg just said anything to slide out and leave, Carlos is innocent and in the process he hopefully will bring change the judicial system here. Prosecutors have no evidence, hence why they're forcing words to come out of his mouth so they can be the victors...

Saikawa and his conspirators created this fiasco so to buy back the shares away from Renault..

Ghosn is in trouble for finding alternative ways to pay himself more, by circumventing Board Approval and setting up a Dutch company to receive profits from Nissan that gets funnelled back to Ghosn. He’s guilty as suspected, and is a greedy little man!
