Low-cost carrier? I wouldn't do that, it would dilute the brand.

Or they could simply sack the incompetent, overpaid executive idiots who have run the thing into the ground in the first place.

This restructuring plan seems to change every week.

Sounds like they are about to start thinking like a business and to take profit and loss into consideration! A good start to recovery

The job cuts should have been made years ago.

There goes JAL!!! JAL will soon turn into jelly and the airlines will become just another commuter airlines.

JAL is in deep red because of decisions to fly non profitable domestic routes. The gov't built too many airports and don't want foreign carriers taking these routes. The amakudari, JAL's BoD and politiciens required JAL to fly empty airplanes. The staff who were already underpaid are the sacraficial lambs in this tragedy.

despite yet another round of job cuts at JAL, I am sure the flight attendants will maintain their bad service and overall poor attitude... Can't wait to take JAL on the 21st!

JAL should never have bought JAS (Japan Air System, formerly TOA Domestic Airways). That was the beginning of the end of JAL.

What porter says...JAL spent too long as the bauble of bureaucrats.

JAL and the rest of JAPAN are ALL too way OVERPRICED!!! Why in the hell does it cost at least 5000 yen to go from Tokyo to Narita, and it may even be cheaper to fly all the way to China, Korea, the Phillipines, Guam, Hawaii?? It does not make any sense! RIP JAL!

I always have been more than satisfied in economic class, business class or even with JAL ways. I took them many times to Europe because they were cheaper that other airlines. I like JAL but I would like the J.gov to stop feeding the monster with my tax money.
