Sounds like he died of a broken heart. The future's much grimmer for MMC now.
Aly Rustom
So he wasn't a dirty backstabbing snake like Saikawa.
RIP. Hope you find some peace wherever you are.
Jayel
You might indeed be correct. Apparently he died of heart failure. (心不全)

He will be missed. Did a great job in reviving Mitsubishi and was an exception in Japan’s business managers community. Even though Mitsubishi was always ignored in the 3 way alliance by Nissan and Renault, he managed to keep the brand relevant. It is a pity such managers are so rare in Japan.

Just the kind of guy you want....running a....car manufacturer...!
Harry_Gatto
Running a car manufacturer needs first-class business sense and experience. The people with the engineering backgrounds are employed further down the line and take little part in running the business.

A career that spanned 50 years...respect!
Brian Wheway
@ Bernard m, he might not have any engineering background, but he can bring a whole new set of skill to the table, like being able to lead, delegate, manage, and inspire others to take the company forward. It looks like MMC is on very unstable grounds right now, with several of the top people gone and poor leadership in control right now, this could be the end of this co, or a slow certain demise.

My deepest condolences.
