Can't cost cut your way to profitability in auto, need scale

Nissan's bleeding cash, seems very unlikely they survive with the China EV Tigers enjoying some Nissan flesh!

Ghost of Carlos Ghosn, karma's real, payback plus interest!

Hope he doesn't end up in solitary in a cell one day. Nuff said.

What a joke. Another Frenchman needs to come and save Nissan. He better brings some books and blankets to prepare for prison after he saved the company

Carlos Ghosn definitely having a GOOD laugh, probably has been SHORT the stock for years, while long Tesla!!
Nissan = another Japanese Govt. Industrial Policy Failure!

Nissan lost touch with the consumer and technology, became consumed with their many internal problems, as dirty corrupt business cultures never win in the end.

They miss Carlos Ghosn about right now, seems Nissan will be acquired by someone, likely Honda. Carlos G. had a strong battery/EV agenda with Renault merger.
Looking at stock prices, Renault's more than doubled in last 5 years, Nissan more 50% down - Nissan blew it, naturally taxpayers will lose too!

Last week I watched a BYD sedan drive by at first I thought it was a new Toyota Crown model but then I noticed the letters BYD at the center back of the car and I couldn't believe my eyes, it was gorgeous I could swear it was a crown but they switched Logos. The color was grayish blue, I couldn't get a glimpse of the driver because it turned left away from me.
Nissan butter focus on the products and not management, obsolete designs, useless features, poor quality, high prices is what's causing drop in sales.
EV's are the future, Nissan did well at first but then it stopped.

I think he already know :-) do not trust Nissan.

"Nissan has tapped Jeremie Papin, who was overseeing its U.S. operations, as its chief operating officer .....given Nissan’s problems in the key U.S. market,.."
So just to get this straight - Nissan has huge problems / is tanking in the US market so they decide to replace their chief operating officer with a guy who was in charge of ...the tanking US market? Are we missing something?

After what they did to Carlos? I hope Nissan burns in hell. This new guy better take heed.

Nissan you reaped what you sowed. No sympathy from me for what you did.

Don’t do it Papin! You’ll get stabbed in the back. Never ever set foot in Japan if you want to see your family again.
Dango bong
since ousting Gohn they went into the toilet. wow big surprise
sakurasuki
@CAPTAIN agreed with that.
Not only that, hope any foreigner can really learn of what happened to Carlos Ghosn, Greg Kelly and Michael Woodford. Hopefully Carlos Ghosn will be the last foreigner that being treated like that in Japan.

I can just see Ghosn rolling around on the floor laughing. He took a near bankrupt Nissan and turned it into a profitable business and then got railroaded for his success. Five years later and Nissan is back in the septic tank.
CAPTAIN
Congrats Jeremie Papin! I would suggest you work remotely from the US. Don't step foot in Japan or you'll be Ghon!
