Here's another Japanese news media article (KYODO) that talks about how much tax revenue was.
But IGNORES the elephant in the room, which is the 40 trillion yen gap between tax revenues and 100+ trillion in fiscal expenditures.
In other words, tax revenues would have to be 67% higher than now (and tax revenues at the peak of Japan's bubble economy) in order to cover all the spending that the government does.
Fortunately, in the game of musical chairs, the music continues to play for now...

And the benifits for tax payers is?..........
Other than politians garnering ¥1.500.000 a month salery.

Is this correct? There was a report the other day that stated household incomes declined by about Y80000 over the past year and wages are falling according to government statistics.

Seriously?
If your children and grandchildren have no future, YOU should take control of the situation as best you can and try to fix that.
Because if you are waiting for the government to help your children, they're screwed. You love your family, the government does not.

Government "Statistics" are so wildly over the place that it's best to discount them. Look at your neighbors for a realistic view on what's happening. In my street 70yo people have to go to work after a lifetime of paying for a pension. They get a bento from a convenience store staffed by underpaid 3rd world staff. My children and grandkids have no future, just drudgery it's so sad when all that's needed is governance that's focused on people rather then companies.

So your observations as an individual hold more validity than numbers collected from a wide range of sources in different areas.
Makes sense.

Strangerland, love it, as we both know unfortunately government statistics are massaged and not to be trusted. As I sashay up and down my street and meeting my neighbors talking, interacting I think I'm more informed than reading a soon to be discredited government survey. But if you are happy, I'm happy too.

Ignores inflation and money printing. Same like movies constantly break box office records and companies print record profits and so on. Value of money is declining, not real assets and profits and tax income rising.

Ok...
I don't see how your methodology would produce more accurate numbers than the government statistics.
Cricky
Well that's ok, government metrology has proven to be dubious again and again. But if you are into that, happy times.
drudery might have been over kill, yes definatly over kill...they all live overseas work at international companies attend university so maybe my life drudgery. But not theirs.

And they still need to raise the consumption tax?
