Kirin to withdraw from its Myanmar brewery venture

I'll drink to this (capitalists with a conscience?)!

I don’t like Kirin beer but I’ll buy some for this decision.

I see many reports saying that Myanmar Economic Holdings wanted to dissolve the joint venture.

The brewery had an 80% market share, so maybe the military dictatorship wanted all the easy returns.

Why did it take so long?
