Going natural: Replacing her auburn red by growing out her natural black and grey — giving her an older and more mature presence.
Good
She looks so happy.

Let's see whether that organization will be pro Family or no.

Tomoko Yoshino became the first-ever female chief of Japan's largest labor organization Rengo on Wednesday after her promotion from vice president was approved at a regular convention.
Now, as a woman, will she reverse the trend of male labor chiefs of ceding the power of organized labor to gain more benefits, better working conditions and higher pay for their members? Labor gave up a tough negotiating stance in the go-go Bubble Era, but when wages stagnated and labor conditions worsened they never fought to maintain equitable returns for their workers.

Sounds like a good person for the job

The breakup of the Japan National Railway in 1987 into six passenger rail corporations and a separate freight rail corporation pretty much destroyed the influence and power of labor unions in Japan.

This lady rose up from the ranks. She'll make the capitalists shake in their custom leather shoes.

Unions in Japan are meaningless though. Still, hope she enjoys her new job.

Congrats but will she actually be able to speak her mind and exercise the authority that comes with this position or is she just another puppet with someone else (male) pulling the strings?
Also, unions in Japan don't have much power behind them so I don't see how much progress and change can be made.

The photo is waaaaaaaay too large.

seems like a nice lady who should be able to effect some positive changes. But yeah, the photo takes up the whole page.

My guess is, nobody cares about the gender, former career or biography, but only wants that they just find the time to start doing their job and fight for some significantly higher wages.

Congratulations.

Rengo is an organization that supports CDPJ, but since it is an organization that is at odds with JCP, it criticizes CDPJ, which has expressed cooperation with JCP.
Of course, the new chief, Yoshino, has also criticized this cooperation.
