However, the earthquake has created opportunities for a lot of companies. Toyo tire must be pretty pessimistic but at the same time Yokohama tire with factories in Aichi and Hiroshima must be optimistic about taking market share so easily.
I wish there was a regional break down on business sentiment; most in West Japan are probably confident. There is likely to be a transfer of economic activity away from electricity challenged Kanto to Kanto and Kyushu.

300 billion USD lost in damages in infrastrutes and 25,000 people,lost via March 11 quake-tsunami.
N225 is definitely wounded and down to level 6 for business sentiment.
Wounds will heal in due time and N225 will go up,to level 7 or 8.
Sony ,toyota and others need to get components/parts makers back on the job.
The Demand for N225 goodies,has not dropped,in fact has increased.
