More people are spending Yen just like me. Want to see my new red high heels?

Are they imported?

Since the majority of frozen food and vegetables are now imported from China, and the prices are lower, people are buying those lower priced foods. Imports go up. Clothing is almost all made in China now, especially the lower priced stuff. Look at Shimamura, which copies with a vengeance the global brands, makes in China, imports and sells here. All of my clothes now are made in China and since I need to replace my clothes, someone who sells them to me obviously must import them. And on it goes. Deflation is causing us all to buy cheaper cheaper cheaper and the Japanese manufacturers cannot compete for that market. So... we import that which meets the market price, set by the consumer's needs.

That's not true for me. I buy my cloth all at my local Japanese tailor and my shoes at the local shoemaker.
