Korean semiconductor industry's "ZERO JAPAN" policy remains in effect, that is no "Made In Japan" material is allowed on Samsung and SK Hynix fabs. The only way Japanese companies can supply is if they set up factories in Korea or ship from 3rd countries like Taiwan, China, or Europe.

After all, it's quiet obvious that the Democratic party will take back the presidency in as little as next year and the relations with Japan will once again deteriorate, no need to take unnecessary risks.
