Trump has already punished Japan with punishing tariffs.

Japan is on roll! Unemployment at a record low, the number of homeless at a record low, the number crimes at a record low and now exports and Japan's trade surplus growing.

Japan is like today's weather forecast: sizzling hot!

I think there is no value in having monthly economic numbers. It is a waste of money to produce them and trivializes the news. If big businesses report quarterly, so should the government.

Tell that to stock traders :)

That you've problems with monthly figures about Japan was probably that you were hailing the deficit of the month before which gave you a good feeling. Now you want to prolong your happy state with 2 more months.

Enlighten yourself how figures work for gov as well as biz :)

I think there is no value in having monthly economic numbers.

Especially when they undermine your opinions.

I am a Japanese national and ONLY worry about Japan and not the USA. Trump is about to put a knife in Japan's back!

Trump is about to send a message saying he wants fair trade with Japan. No knives in anyones back here.

Sometimes you have negative, sometimes you have surplus, sometimes you buy more useless stuffs from others, sometimes others buy more useless stuffs from you, that's just how trade works, in the end, it's the relationship that matters.

did they get the numbers walking around the dicks and asking people how much stuff came in? (This is how they got the unemployment numbers, walking around the streets talking to people who appeared homeless)

 food is more expensive.

And will food prices rise further after the rains devastated farmlands?

And the trickle down effect? No wage increase, food is more expensive. Yey more profit for old men in smokey rooms congratulating themselves for being in a smoke filled room. Good for them

I have less money and everything is more expensive.

More excellent economy news for Japan. Abenomics is pulling ahead full steam now!
