I'd love to have a Grand Wagoneer.

They are poorly made lemons - Especially in regards to wiring! Like many in the trade know... "Customers have to own two of them... because one is always in the workshop"

the one lemon Jeep kinda had was the Diesel Liberty http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54207 (explains the issues and the fixes) -I always wanted a small diesel or especially a small diesel p/u with the fold down sides. -Easy to get in Japan, but hard in the US (Diesel compliance is harder in the US -extra catalyst+diesel exhaust fluid (DEF)- adding to the costs.
The original Cherokee was very robust and would last forever. Grand Cherokee had more gimics/candy =issues , plus the Chrysler automatic tranny issues. http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/11/report-marchionne-confirms-7-seat-jeep-grand-wagoneer-in-2013/
