Most British beer-drinkers might have issue with that statement. We like beer cold in the States, but we've been called "backwater" for that preference.

Especially in the summer , chilled beer is good!

The bog-standard Kirin / Asahi beers can only be drunk when they are cold: they taste appalling when they warm up.
On the other hand, a nice British ale tastes best when it is cool, not freezing cold.

Though I'm more of a single malt man myself, I wouldn't mind trying a frozen beer when the heat comes around later this year. Some people say beer served too cold ruins the flavor, but in summer, I'd rather lose a bit of flavor in favor of refreshment. I think it's a good marketing move by Kirin. The novelty factor sells very well here in Japan.
