Share those calories.

You NEVER NEVER want to be alone with a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and RedBull. They are very tasty and that's the problem. They're too tasty.

Sour Cream and a hot chocolate! Hummmm Doughnuts.

Krispy Cream has to move to Japan as nobody here in US want to eat it if you are a health concience. Loads of sugar!!

Doughnuts don't have calories. From what I've been tought, the calories fall out of the hole in the middle. That is why doughnuts have holes, they were placed there to make them a staple diet food. Look at America if you don't believe me.

i'll stick with mr. donuts . reasonably priced & more choices .

Living in Fukuoka, we just got a new KK a few weeks ago and yes, they are going up, thank God! Finally, some real donuts, hate the MrD crap, which is not a donut, but cake! All the same style and dry, dry, dry. @NetNinja...hmmm..never did the RedBull thing, gotta try it. lol

MISTER DOUGHNUTS!!! Those are dry bricks. Dunking them in milk doesn't even help. Krispy Kreme's basic doughnut RULES. Plus you can warm them up!!!

Try warming up Misdo bricks. That's like trying to warm up a dry old bread roll that's been outside.

I don't think we need doughnut shops everywhere. However, Japan is the worst when it comes to morning choices. I wish I could drive by a doughnut shop and get a bearclaw or a warm honey-glaze.

Convenience store doughnuts suck too.

Never had one, never want one - the lines are faaaaar too long for a snack of pure sugar. Honestly, can they not just buy one in this country??

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Not my cup of tea either, tmarie. Not that i don't a sweet snack every now and then but...a darn friggin' line a for a doughnut? screw the lemmings. My husband bought me that red color HEASLO steam oven from Sharp (early christmas present!) and I can bake anything I want whenever I want. It sure beats going out to some Mr. Doughnuts and do their ridiculous lines.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Agree with Tmarie. I wouldn't like to make a long silly line for just a doughnut. Plus Mr.D's doughnuts are like some kind of dry cake as some posters have posted. dry and it all taste the same. are they cakes or doughnuts?

@Franchesca

I have the same oven and it is magnificent and very expensive by the way (--) Lucky you. Here I bake and grill, roast and steam and do basically whatever Mr. Bluewitch feels like eating...same with my children.(^^)

This story is from Cigarette Town?

Don't forget Tsukuba. There is also none in Sendai.

Eat your heart out, donut lovers ...

I'm still licking my chops from a glazed chocolate cake and a glazed original plus an iced latte at the Ginza/Yurakuchjo Krispey Kreme branch this past Tuesday ...

And the line was only about 3-4 minutes long ... long enough for me to get my money ready ...

But am glad to hear KK is moving into more cities ... perhaps some day you might see me in line with those of you in the Kyushu and Chogoku regions ...

mmmm....

Ranger_Miffy2: This story is from Cigarette Town?

Yep. What a great pair of exports we're have - heart disease and cancer. But it's OK as long as the companies are making money, right?

RedBull and doughnuts?? Ninja, that sounds completely gross! You have to be kidding me right? Say it ain't so! RedBull tastes like crap, way too sweet and the ruin nice Krispy Cream with RedBull?? OMG! I think I will stick to milk, or coffee and milk or get a bit wild and have some hot tea with mine, thank you.

Yes, so true. MrD is just full on crap, too hard as Net said. There is no way to warm them up, no fluffiness to the donuts, just hard cake-like croutons.

@Paris

You don't have to go and eat there though. Don't complain, just don't support them. Not Americas fault, it's the individual that eats about 3 dozen a day that's at fault.

@Queen

I agree. Bagels and Pretzel shops like "Aunt Anne's" would be a great thing to see, I am all for that!!

Well being an individual growing up in the Carolinas, I am certainly happy about them in the Tokyo area. Glad that I have the opportunity to enjoy that tasty American treat on occasions. Back home they have a very long history of helping schools and churches with fundraising, so its very hard to avoid them....even if you don't even visit their shops.
