Cool shape and great styling.

It's a pity they are making the last ones in dull colours, not the poster paint-like primary colours used for Mexican taxis. They were really photogenic.

I'm sure no one wants to sit on the back seat. Once I travel with a 1970 VW Beetle and sitting in the back seat, it was 40 years ago. I have to change the seat with my friend after about 20 km. I couldn't tolerate the noise come from the engine. My friend loves it and he drives almost every day back then.

Being a 2 door compact car certainly added to it's demise.

Most ordinary cars of that size have tons more space & accessability, making them far more suitable for the modern "common folks".

Looked at buying a 2nd hand one as a 2nd car a few years back - I had 2 beetles before 1966 & 70 - but just too limited.
