What the world has learned is not to rely on one country supply chain.

Never, in their wildest dreams, could the US government have done as much damage to China as Xi has done with his communist purity clampdowns and Covid Zero policy. I wonder if Washington have switched him for a doppelgänger.

For any Foreign Company thinking that they have a long term Strategy within China, they should seriously rethink things

I didnt predict covid, but I said that about 10 years ago, and no one took me seriously. Yeah, schadenfreude!

Wrong, because all other countries have higher death rates, according to statistical data.

And once again you are blindly believing CCP data.

Because intelligent people believe the CCP data, right?

You misunderstand the basic geographical concept of Antarctica, which is not a country. And just for consistency, neither is the Diamond Princess.

and those are not the only ones causing China to be at 9th place, which still proves your comment is false.

No one is guessing; someone is pretending.

It is the same, you may pretend to know things about other commenters that in reality you have no idea about, that is baseless speculation and have no value.

Shanghai's economy is growing more than the UK's, the US', Japan's, and New Zealand's, which went into a recession, then abandoned zero covid, is seeing its economy decimated, as it is negative growth of .20 this recent quarter.

Why mention only things happening before the lockdown? Shanghai has needed urgent support from China, that is not something a growing economy does.

If you believe Antarctica is a country, then you found one with a lower death rate than China

Antartica is not the only country that have a lower death rate than China, and again adjusting to the same way China uses to hide deaths dozens of other countries do better.

Your own source clearly proves it so.

No scientist or medical professional (which you are not) is saying China's zero covid policy will result in more deaths caused by reasons other than Covid, than Covid related deaths. What a silly notion.

Since you have absolutely no idea what other commenters are or not your argument is by all meanings baseless, insisting on somehow being able to guess things only evidence desperation at not having any argument that can actually defend what you believe.

And you provide no such articles.

By this point pretending not to know that Shanghai had a huge economic disaster is beyond believable, every single article currently written about Shangai is about it.

And while firms and workers are at risk of snap lockdowns, they are at a lower risk of catching Covif compared to Western counterparts, so being alive and living healthy as a side effect is not a bad thing.

Since other countries have similar or even lower rates of death from covid without any need to use lockdowns this argument still rings hollow, that is why no international expert recommends the zero covid policy this year.

A further negative effect is that the zero covid policy causes deaths by itself, which means that in order to reach the same levels as those countries that have low death rates China is choosing to let other sick people die, which defeats completely the purpose, taking into account the ruin and economic destruction caused on countless families at the site of the lockdowns it is clear this is not a winning proposition but in fact the opposite.

Wrong, because all other countries have higher death rates, according to statistical data.

You are also mistaken to blankly claim no international expert recommends zero covid policy this year, as  Ma Xiaowei, an international expert, recommends zero covid this year.

False speculation with no verifiable source to support such "claim". It is ridiculous to think a zero covid policy would cause 1 million deaths like it has in the US.

And you provide no source about any economic destruction. In actuality, China is the only country with positive economic growth throughout the crisis, as is common knowledge.

Every source you have brought says China has higher death rates than other countries, and once the reporting is done in the same way there are dozens with better numbers. Why do you feel the need to repeat something you yourself proved is false?

This has been widely reported included in this site, there is nothing ridiculous in it, the zero covid policy cause people to end up without jobs and without access to hospitals and causes deaths by itself.

And you provide no source about any economic destruction.

Endless articles have explained in detail the economic destruction caused in every location of an outbreak, with Shanghai as the biggest example, China's economy is slowing down because of this, nobody rational would think something that causes ruin somehow improves things for the country.

*Antarctica** is Earth's southernmost continent.*

The economy shrank in sequential terms in the first quarter of this year.

If you believe Antarctica is a country, then you found one with a lower death rate than China. Otherwise, the statistical data shows China has the lowest infection rate and Covid related deaths in the world, no matter how many times you and other deniers try to ignore a basic fact. I guess since you also promoted natural immunity over the vaccine, you have no problem denying science and facts.

But if China's economy is being destroyed, then economies with less growth, such as the UK, Japan, the US et al--their economies must be being devastated beyond recovery.

China is the last major economy welded to a zero-COVID strategy -- putting firms and workers at risk of snap lockdowns, freezing activity in the services sector and tangling supply chains crucial for factories to sell their goods.

The US and other countries suffer too from the breakdown in the supply chain.

But China's GDP is expected to be the same at the least as the UK's this year in terms of growth percentage-wise.

And while firms and workers are at risk of snap lockdowns, they are at a lower risk of catching Covif compared to Western counterparts, so being alive and living healthy as a side effect is not a bad thing.
