Until they can charge faster and last longer, EVs are still a gimmick!
Hybrids are the only real solution!

The total cost of owning a EV is much higher than a gas or hybrid.
The repair costs are high, tires wear out quickly as the cars are heavy.
I myself will continue to use my 22 years old 2002 Mercedes Benz CLK430 V8 AMG.
Keep maintain it and nothing wrong with it. It's got 250,000 miles on it and I could put another 250,000 on it without any issues.

My parents had a beautiful open-top Cadillac which mostly sat in the garage because of the heavy gas consumption.
