And supporting the freedom of Ukraine in the process. Very smart move indeed. Very moral decision. They will gain business in the wider world for their stand against Putin's crimes.

What's dumb is invading Ukraine. What is even dumber is trying to justify the invasion.

This whole situation looks increasingly like a competition in who can shoot themselves in the foot more painfully.

Btw some Russian banks have already announced that they are considering working with UnionPay. So, if anything, this move can push Russia even further towards China
