Hard pass on Mc Garbage food.

Paying for products that cause the body problems?

It’s obvious why their sales are down

MOSBurger is way better..

Sure - if you can wait the 20 minutes it takes for them to make your lunch.

McDonald's is not for someone wanting a good meal. It's there when you want something quick and cheap. Mos is much more expensive and not very good either. Freshness burger is decent. Beef at the supermarket is relatively cheap though, so it's best to just make your own burger if you want a good one.

bring back 39 yen hamburgers and 500 yen meals, and then we'll talk

Good luck finding hamburger buns anywhere though.

I know for a fact ヤマザキ produces them (which makes sense given that they make those horrific 80-yen store-at-room-temperature hamburgers at supermarkets). But I have never seen them, or any other ones, outside of a Costco.

Surely slowing sales are good news!

Simple solution: Just lower your prices and the people will come. People want "value" just like you said. If I had to choose between a Y500 burger (hamburger only) and a Y500 pack of chicken breasts, guess what we're having for dinner tonight?

Buy a bento instead, better for your body

bring back 39 yen hamburgers

And presumed exactly such were on offer, would you really eat them? I mean, subtracted the costs for staff, restaurant building , energy and profit percentage , what 'meat' and 'bread' would you expect to get for 39 yen? That surely can be only dead and already smelling and greenish meat even the hungriest ever hyenas wouldn't anymore ram their teeth into. lol

When it gets to the point where your price increases aren't justified by the food you're serving...you have major problems with your business "model". "Deals" are a start, but in the end, there are now much better "deals" outside Mac...for the same price or even lower.

Mac could use a few years in the economic wilderness....but we know that won't happen. Too many willing to pony up no matter how high the price hikes go.

LOL a "HAPPY MEAL" has become a "NO THANK YOU DEAL"
