Yeah, everything seems to be about $15/hour. Of course that will solve two problems. The overpaid workers will be replaced by automation and automation can't be sexually harassed. Problems solved.

What's wrong with those $ 15 per hour? The poster is probably irritated that a hamburger flip flopper demands more than he/her/it receives in Japan.
McD employees earn the minimum wages based on age groups as many are younger than 20 which will be less than the mentioned $ 15 an hour. The difference is that in the US people stay longer on the job which is done, for example in my home country, merely by scholars.

The wages seem lower but social and health insurance premiums are included. A Manager of a McD joint makes about € 2800 a month.
Automation in this sector is not likely as the human interaction is part of the business model.
How would automation in this sector turn out for the beautiful unemployment figures hailed by the Trump administration anyway? :)
