McGarbage... No thanks..

Ukrainian food has flavour. McCrap does not. Still, the fries might withstand a bomb blast since they never decompose naturally.

In the midst of bombings, ground warfare, etc., I’m sure the Ukrainians are ready to lineup for Big Macs.
McDonald’s should be handing out food for free rather than reopening a under siege market for profit,

The timing is odd. Do they know something we don't?
virusrex
The decision seems forced but it is likely they have information that the general public don't that lead them to believe this is in their benefit.
I just hope this is a sign that the eventual resultion of the problem is one step closer.

Gesture showing solidarity with Ukraine. And maybe make a little money, although with the Hryvna in the toilet not sure it will be a lot.

Maybe you don't like it, but millions do.
bass4funk
I very much agree with that, especially now, they should be running 24/7 to deliver food to millions that have nothing to eat, get them fed, strong and on their feet first.

Sure, every now and then, in moderations, why not? If the Ukrainians didn't like the chain there wouldn't be so many. Remember; fries weren't an American invention, technically the hamburger as well, we just made them all better, generally speaking.

There is an American guy, Don Gorske who has eaten almost nothing but Macs every day for 50 years.

I had one a few years ago.

Love their Quarter Pounders

Burger King has much better French Fries...

I prefer "chips" to French fries. Thicker slices of potato skin on or skin off and fried with rosemary.

Nothing like a big Mac and a smile during war

I'm not sure that having McDonalds in your country can be classified as a "win", but possibly quite a few health companies in Ukraine might benefit over the long term.

Russians also love their McD's so much that they chose to reopen their closed McD's albeit under Russian management - essentially McD's by another name
Except somehow they managed to make it even worse!

They sure do!

There is a war in front of you. You need food. You want all the glucose, cholesterols, triglycerides, and extra sodium. You don't know when your food supply chain stops. Enjoy your burgers and fries!

Virus, you are an educated person, and what information McDonald's would have about the outcome of the war, Zelensky war is a few fries, short of a happy meal

98 percent of Ukrainain say they will defeat Russia, will they be saying this when, their unhappy meal is served them

Please don't judge American food by McDonalds. What they did was make consistent food in all their restaurants. Consistent. Starbucks is the same. Consistent.
Not good (especially Starbucks burnt coffee), but consistent. McDs coffee is pretty good too, though I'm not a drinker the last 15 yrs or so. Sorta like the Model-T car made manufacturing vehicles consistent. Japanese should appreciate that, as they've taken manufacturing optimization to levels that most of the world envies. They listened to Deming and follow the numbers - statistical process improvement.
Also, McDs is known for the cleanest restaurants in the business at any level. That is also consistent, unless the local manager is failing.
There are lots and lots of places to get better tasting and better for you food than McDs, but not at the same price or with the same speed.
I'm willing to have a little delay to get better tasting food, so McDs isn't where I stop unless forced ( need a toilet break ). Hadn't been inside one in a few decades until last December. Now they force using a card and kiosk to order as part of their covid safety. Plus their fries changed to a different cooking oil that was used when I was a kid which made all the taste difference but was extremely anti-healthy.
Will the Ukrainian McDs refuse service to Russian military? Will they allow firearms inside at all, from the local boys?
