I try to eat McDonald's sparingly.

They're having problems in the US too. The public wants healthier options, sales are down and out in California fast food workers will now get $15.00 an hour, not sure if that's all or just McDonald's. I've not eaten that stuff in almost 10 years.

Every now and then I buy a hundred yen burger, take it home, put a slice of cheese on it, drop it in the toaster oven and end up with a nice 300 yen cheese burger!

I used to do this with the $1 burgers at AM/PM in the USA. People laughed, but once I added the fresh lettuce, tomato, and onions, along with jalapeno peppers and whatnot, I had a pretty good burger for a buck.

"The sooner they go bankrupt the better of young kids will be"

Yeah, the young kids can eat Lotteria burgers and fries, and ramen, and katsu-kare, lol.

The only way how that image can change is by wiping the whole McDonalds brand from the surface of the earth.

???

A cheeseburger is 120 yen. It's on the menu. Why not just order that?

Before I put the cheese on though, I spread the 100 yen coin size of onions to cover the whole bun, put the pickle in the middle and add some more ketchup and evenly spread that too. Why can't they do that in the shop?

it's a known fact the fries don't even spoil (because it's not actually food)

By that definition, beef jerky, granola and quinoa are not food. Spoilage requires many things (such as water content), and is inhibited by many things that are perfectly harmless or even beneficial (such as vinegar and honey).

There are plenty of restaurants with grass fed beef and organic produce. McDonald's focuses on cheap, and the food is nowhere near as bad a thousand hysterical internet memes based on ignorance would have you believe. There are countless worse fast food restaurants, but because they are small and local they don't get the attention.

I think food problems at Mac outlets are only the tip of the iceberg. Half the customers I see people who buy the cheapest item on the menu and then sit there playing games on their keitai for hours. These include groups of unruly teens, many of who go there after class and smoke (illegally) on the premises. Others are "refugees" unemployed or under-employed with nowhere else to go, who roll up a hand towel on the counter and then nap face down on it. This is no fault of Mac, but they have no real strategy to deal with such people, and it really diminishes the atmosphere of the shops.

@gogogo I always love your comments. I love the way you think. wish we could be friends :)

About McDonalds....a huge fast-food chain selling it's products world wide is more than likely in bed with Monsato, serving lots of GMO's...oooh, yummy! it's a known fact the fries don't even spoil (because it's not actually food), and pretty much everything is processed beyond belief and filled with food-coloring and preservatives. So, unless they plan to switch to grass-fed beef, free range chicken, organic produce, and remove the chemicals...it's the same ole Mickey-dees with a few new items on the menu. Ho hum. The word "Revamp" doesn't really apply. Like my friend "gogogo" commented earlier, the word is 'Shuffle'.

I hope they finally give us sweet and sour sauce in Japan. It's long overdue.
