I prefer Chinese food than KFC or Big Mac

As long as you don't know what it is you're eating you're fine

I prefer Chinese food than KFC or Big Mac. Maybe Chinese people will go back to eat their delicious Chinese food?

I live nearby Las Vegas. In this area, restaurants menu include ingredients. There are bunch of Chinese Food Restaurants where come chefs come and explain what the ingredient of each item, then cook for guests on the table.

I am sure Chinese people know ingredients and how they are cooked. Beside that, they cook at their home.

Toshiko, that Nevada restaurant doesn't sound like "fast food" or a place where busy people in a rush go for a quick lunch, so it may not be the best comparison. Better would be the cheap noodle or dumpling shops in Chinese cities and there you may also find that you're eating noodles in "surprise soup" and dumplings packed with "mystery meat" and maybe a dash of ground cardboard.

This report doesn't mention any evidence. What was the Dragon TV report based on? A whistle-blower at Husi? Was there evidence? Or is this just an anonymous tip called in by who-knows-who?

China has so many food scandals, involving both foreign as well as domestic outlets and suppliers. i guess difference here is that Mac and KFC are foreign and have deep pockets.

Just as long as they don't mix fox meat in with my donkey.

This problem is spilling over into Japan with McD and Famima importing Chicken nuggets from the same manufacturer. Both companies had announced that they will stop selling the items in question.

@taj: there is no Chinese first food restaurants around here, Even so, I think Chinese people in China will go back to cook their own food instead of using Mac and KFC after this news. This story will effect Mac and KFC business everywhere in the world where Mac and KFC had established.

Yeh, McDonald's Japan has 20% of its nuggets supplied by the company in question.

"Expired" is an understatement. The meat they were mixing in was all green and moldy. Disgusting. Not to mention they were stepping on the meat, picking it off the ground and putting it back in.

a proper functioning TPP would put an end to this kind of nonsense as competition from the agricultural giants allowed Japanese food chains access to the world's best food stuffs at competitive prices. Rather than the super inflated, inefficient Japanese sector forces business towards the unsafe suppliers from china... disaster all around.
