Give this man an award !

Based on the fact that he has two brothers who also became scientists, genius is a genetic trait. Just like spending much of your time with your model train hobby.

Physicists and mathematicians should run the world's economy not politicians and the illuminati. The 2008 global financial crisis and other economic mishaps was due to our leaders failure to abide the law of mathematics. All they care is more for themselves. Mr.Nakamoto is the modern day economic liberator. He managed to make something conformable with the laws of nature.

Considering it's Newsweek, I'll reserve judgement on the report's accuracy. Certainly odd that a guy who coded everything and was a master at security would have used his real name.

Brilliant man for his revolutionary invention. When I read his white paper I thought it was someone using a pseudonym. Turns out that was his real name. However, that was dumb of that reporter to divulge his identity or whereabouts. Some global bankers are probably not happy with his cryptocurrency creation. The man just wanted his privacy and safety, understandably.

From my understanding he doesn't run Bitcoin, merely created it. Outting his home location is really low class and speaks to a mob mentality that will now look to "get" him. In other news a Bitcoin CEO is in a suspected suicide.

Let's back up here.

There is no confirmation that this man created Bitcoin. It smacks of tabloid tactics.

Leave the man alone.

"The 2008 global financial crisis and other economic mishaps was due to our leaders failure to abide the law of mathematics."

Not, those "mishaps" were caused by the greedy and reckless financial industry that used lots of algorithms and econometrics to try to beat the market. It didn't work.

It may seem odd that he used his real name instead of a pseudonym, but maybe that is exactly what he was expecting. If everyone thought it was a pseudonym, then using his real name would attract less attention to him.

I suppor the Nick Szabo

hypothesis since he is directly involved in digital currency, invented a direct predecessor of bitcoin (bit gold) and quite independently of this fact, was found by this blogger

to be using similar turns of phrase. Further, while at George Washington University at least (I am not sure where he is now) he lived in a time zone where he would have been sleeping at the time when posts from Satoshi Nakamura went quite (5am to 11am GMT is midnight to 6am in Washington D.C.). The inventor of bit coin is likely to be very rich as a result so there is probably a downside to admitting it.

Well, one of their CEOs killed themselves recently. Some young girl in California. Nice looking girl. Digital money - just sounds strange. Lets keep things real Japan... More tangibles and less artificial.

Leave the guy alone, he has the right to remain anonymous. Newsweek and other reporter have done a major disservice

He's reportedly got over $500m in bitcoins. Even if not true that's enough untraceable money to make him a target.

If I were him I'd move out of there and go incognito. No telling what some nasty people in power are thinking.

'Unnatural' death of Autumn Radtke, bitcoin exchange's young CEO

WE ALREADY DO. Hehehe.

Nakamoto for President!

Bet he knows how to break Bitcoin algorithm... He's better off going into hiding.

Jefflee and Pandabelle, if you want to call farming for cellulose and painting it with fancy designs (and use it as a bait for modern slavery), economics done by mathematicians and physicists, sure why not! We are run by a manipulator/s and they use magic policies not algorithms of any kind. They use mathemarics only to simulate their never-ending trial and error.

Most probably fake news.

The man is over 60 and that's the only thing that fits to the original profile.

Coding style analysis of the original code released in 2009 revealed that the creator should be someone with a strong knowledge of cryptography and P2P protocol but who is not a practicing programmer. The code was old-style (great bit twiddling hacks but weak at general design, mainly procedural code, tightly coupled classes, no nice Interfaces, Hungarian naming convention,etc.. ) and hard to maintain. Bit-coin development team needed to rewrite most of it.

She was not one of their CEOs. Just a random CEO that "was bitcoin fan, had other issues, too", according to a quick google search. Don't let the media fool you.

“I’m saying I’m no longer in engineering. That’s it,” he said of the exchange. “And even if I was, when we get hired, you have to sign this document, contract saying you will not reveal anything we divulge during and after employment. So that’s what I implied.”

Whatever he was creator of Bitcoin or not but I like him and admire him. He value his moral ethical standards and unlike traitor Snowden who sold country to Russia.

I won't be surprised if he was the person who created Bitcoin. He looks like quiet achiever and still water run deep.

The biggest owner of bitcoin is a FBI now for investigation purpose.

"Nakamoto, 64, said he had never heard of bitcoin"

If I were Nakamoto Satoshi-san and then I'll be told anyone same thing. I'll keep stay low profile.

The anonymous hero, who originally wrote Bitcoin, was also good with logics. You see, that used to be a prerequisite for programmers; however, now, modern packages serve as crutches that weaken the programmers development of logics.

This man, hero or not, seems to be very clever: a good user of logics. Banzai. That Newsweek writer needs to have her sources investigated. This article was a hitjob, or meant to induce one: so the logics.
