Considering it's Newsweek, I'll reserve judgement on the report's accuracy. Certainly odd that a guy who coded everything and was a master at security would have used his real name.

Brilliant man for his revolutionary invention. When I read his white paper I thought it was someone using a pseudonym. Turns out that was his real name. However, that was dumb of that reporter to divulge his identity or whereabouts. Some global bankers are probably not happy with his cryptocurrency creation. The man just wanted his privacy and safety, understandably.

From my understanding he doesn't run Bitcoin, merely created it. Outting his home location is really low class and speaks to a mob mentality that will now look to "get" him. In other news a Bitcoin CEO is in a suspected suicide.

There is no confirmation that this man created Bitcoin. It smacks of tabloid tactics.

It may seem odd that he used his real name instead of a pseudonym, but maybe that is exactly what he was expecting. If everyone thought it was a pseudonym, then using his real name would attract less attention to him.

Further, while at George Washington University at least (I am not sure where he is now) he lived in a time zone where he would have been sleeping at the time when posts from Satoshi Nakamura went quite (5am to 11am GMT is midnight to 6am in Washington D.C.). The inventor of bit coin is likely to be very rich as a result so there is probably a downside to admitting it.

Bet he knows how to break Bitcoin algorithm... He's better off going into hiding.

Jefflee and Pandabelle, if you want to call farming for cellulose and painting it with fancy designs (and use it as a bait for modern slavery), economics done by mathematicians and physicists, sure why not! We are run by a manipulator/s and they use magic policies not algorithms of any kind. They use mathemarics only to simulate their never-ending trial and error.

The man is over 60 and that's the only thing that fits to the original profile.

Coding style analysis of the original code released in 2009 revealed that the creator should be someone with a strong knowledge of cryptography and P2P protocol but who is not a practicing programmer. The code was old-style (great bit twiddling hacks but weak at general design, mainly procedural code, tightly coupled classes, no nice Interfaces, Hungarian naming convention,etc.. ) and hard to maintain. Bit-coin development team needed to rewrite most of it.

She was not one of their CEOs. Just a random CEO that "was bitcoin fan, had other issues, too", according to a quick google search. Don't let the media fool you.
