A politically correct publicity stunt to get some free brand recognition around the globe. There is nothing nasty or directed with anger at any group of people about the lollies in the spot light, but during this time of protest where people are talking of everything remotely considered to be tied to racism it gets them free publicity.
The name change is not needed.
While we are at it lets change the name of the fruit orange as I don't like it being associated to a color, it is potentially a racist fruit.

I remember, as a kid, reading one of Agatha Christie's novels, Ten Little N*. I was too young to realize the background behind that word, but looking back, I'm shocked they still used the title as late as then, before changing it.
