A panda can do more for the economy than Abe.

And wouldn't it be nice if most of that money was returned to where it originated, and went to conservation efforts.

Pandanomics!

Bwahahahaha! I can't help but laugh at this. The economy has been in a major slump for over a decade. The sales tax increase resulted in a 15-25% reduction in spending in different sectors. But now, this 'pandamonium' is going to boost consumer spending immensely! Possibly, Japan should fire Abe and his economists and just employ the panda as finance minister. It's pretty obvious that, the panda is the only one that can spur economic growth.

Agreed. But it might be seen as pandering to the tree huggers and eco-terrorists, eh?

Not really. It needs to go back to upgrading the conditions at their own facility.

Any japanese city/prefecture can experience an economic boost as soon as a celebrity or a tv show promotes it.

If Masaharu Fukuyama declares his favorite ramen is in the middle of nowhere in Hokkaïdo, the place will suddenly become popular.

That's just the japanese 'sheep' mentality.

There are a lot of Chinese things that can make Japanese economy boom. Unfortunately, Japan abandoned them. Not wise.

"....as well as wage increases for employees at facilities concerned."

LOL. Japan nationwide is experiencing a record rate of jobs offered to job seekers and yet the employers stubbornly refuse to offer applicants higher salaries. So this would be an absolute miracle.

In Europe, there is an old rivalry between France and England.

Is it the same with Japan and China?
