Nissan names head of China business as new CEO

Nissan will go under soon. They've lost the ball, and at present everything is against them. Trying to align with the Chinese is a last ditch attempt at a revival, which under the current Political environment will backfire upon them. Seriously if you hold their stock, review your mindset upon why.

So Saikawa, as many suspected was dirty and he gets away with:

So the word of Japanese is accepted whereas that of a foreigner is NOT! Why is this not splashed all over the news as was the case with Ghosn? Why is he not hounded by the media and the Public Prosecutors to tell the truth? Why is he NOT in detention pending investigation from the public prosecutors office?

Why is the media both at home and abroad NOT asking these questions of the Japanese prosecutors and Nissan itself?

Its stinks too much methinks and should make every foreigner residing in Japan think very carefully of how easy it is to get railroaded because you are simply not Japanese. Utterly shameful behaviour in every respect!

I suspect Ghosn will have the last laugh though as Nissan, like the Titanic, is definately on a one way ticket to doom.

That's the thing, the new idea's guy was arrested/jailed, cannot leave Japan and was dismissed from his position.. so the sun has set on new ideas and bailout would be in the horizon soon.

Arresting Ghosn was never about the alleged crime he committed, it was purely to take him down, because he was a foreigner who was a threat to J Inc.!!

Ghosn's trial is not expected to start until next year. Saikawa has not been charged with any wrongdoing.

Why and why? I thought Ghosn's trial was suppose to start this October! Also, imagine if he wasn't allowed to leave jail, he would have to be in there for almost two whole years, while sneaky snake Saikawa can just get off scott free, what a system.

And, with that, the entire operation organized by J Inc. is now complete.

J Inc. was never going to allow Nissan to be merged into Renault, which was where Ghosn was taking things. Therefore, it was all hands on deck to prevent that happening, which involved the former bureaucrats on the Board, METI, J execs at Nissan, and, of course, the MOJ.

The first step was to take Ghosn out of the equation. Which they have done.

The second was to appoint a useful transitional figure, in the form of Saikwa. Which they did.

And, now, finally, to appoint a go forward CEO who is Japanese.

Mission accomplished. Nissan is back in the hands of the Japanese, who will never allow it be merged into Renault, and there will NEVER EVER be another CEO who is not Japanese.

Game, set, match.

China gets NISSAN and the rest of the world gets DATSUN.

They come with credentialled work history in the auto industry, with trackable growth .

They are familiar with the potential in emerging markets such as China and India.

Nissan had few options from within the company here in Japan, many would have been tainted by either Saikawa or Ghosen so they had to go "overseas" to find someone to take the helm, and someone who would agree to do it as well!

I kind of feel sorry for this guy, if he is up to the challenge and brings Nissan back, more power to him, yet, if he is of the traditional Japanese CEO mold, Nissan is going to continue on it's current path to irrelevance!
