I don't think this plan to resume in June is completely decided. The government has yet to release its plans for easing the lockdown. Other reports focus more on Nissan's decision not to restart in May, and the plan to resume in June as somewhat more tentative.

The plant has not been entirely idle during the lockdown, producing protective equipment for the NHS. Also, I read they have provided about 100 vehicles free of charge to NHS staff.

Well not just Japan and the US, but now do you K is planning the reopening of the economy as well. This is definitely good to see. I mean I obviously knew it was gonna happen, but it’s nice to finally see it in writing, literally.

It's hard to overstate how important NMUK is for Nissan as a whole. No doubt this has been one of the top priorities for Nissan globally. Hopefully they can do it and find a way to keep everyone safe.
