With strong yen, that's exactly what Japan needs to do. Excellent!

More JUNK built in MEXICO... USA already has enough cars built in Mexico from GM, Ford and Chrysler... this is a bad idea.

Nissan is not stupid, they would not be in Mexico if the cars were junk! Actually I got to meet a bunch of Nissan engineers here in Tokyo from Mexico, real nice people and they get months and months of training here in Japan every year and why pay an American or Japanese worker so much $$$$$$ when a good Mexican engineer will do the same for way cheaper?? So this only makes WISE business sense, but I know that this is not what Japanese workers here in Japan want to hear, too many are loosing their jobs now to Mexico and China. Japan needs to reinvent itself ASAP!

By the way, many, many years ago, the first Japanese auto maker to try to make in Mexico was not Nissan, but Toyota. Toyota tried to break into the Mexican market, failed big time, but Nissan sent people to follow the Toyota guys around Mexico and they studied all of the mistakes from TOYOTA and now, Nissan is one of the biggest car and truck producers in Mexico, but recently Toyota has been trying to make a come back in Mexico but Nissan de Mexico is years and years ahead of the game. So muchas gracias Nissan for bringing more work to a part of the world that really needs it!

No.. actually the cars built in Mexico are JUNK.... like Ford recently... the recall they had with wheels falling off in traffic... all the vehicles were made in Mexico... Nissan is just trying to be cheap and increase profits with their manufacturing in Mexico... and it's losing... not loosing.
