Nissan is heading to another bankruptcy, and Ghosn is not gonna save them this time.

This strengths my view the whole Ghosn thing was a setup by the old guard with it's closed minded thinking and unhappy with having non Japanese involvement in the company.

I expect we will see multiple bailouts by the government in the near future and possibly bankruptcy if the bill gets to high.

Well, that buys another 2 days in delaying bankruptcy. Is it enough to pay the Nissan lawyers in the Ghosn persecution?

I’m with you on that neux reux. The countless Bloomberg articles, the Kelly farce, collusion with the prosecutors, Saikawa getting back dated options and not reporting. And on top of that the options Saikawa got were “unreported” the same stuff Ghosn is accused of doing but nothing has happened to Saikawa. I’m sorry to say but xenophobia is alive and well here.

My shaken is due, and im in the market for a new car...but what Nissan did, still affects my choice to get it from the Nissan lineup, it really tarnished their reputation. They have to do some correction or crisis control or they will be history.

Wouldn't touch a Nissan, made that mistake back home and thinking things would be different in Japan tried again, poor quality, poor service.

Went right back to Toyota, got rid of the Nissan within a year.

There is a reason they are in trouble and much of it is because the management is not good and that leads to poor quality products.

Never thought they were good or good quality.

But then neither were or are Nissan Cars.

Given the choice I would take a skateboard first followed by Renault then Nissan an I can't even skateboard.

If they both disappeared it really wouldn't be much of a loss except for the poor workers that would lose their jobs.

Nissan has had it. I wouldn't want to put any money into them, they're blatantly corrupt, and the sad thing is, they will bring down the entire Japanese Government / Society with them, as they have done so far todate.

There is an Asian favoritism bias in the Japanese bureaucratic world - mostly towards Taiwan. Taiwan is a critical ally of Japan, so Japanese bureaucrats let it slide because it is far more disastrous to see a weak and poor Taiwan being vulnerable for the absorption under the hands of the CCP.

If any Taiwanese firm wants to buy a Japanese core business tomorrow, Japanese bureaucracy will allow it.

Ghosn's leadership rescued Nissan from certain demise. Nissan's vehicles (except for the GTR, Z) were quite pathetic at best. Then there was a massive transition and some rather good models were produced. Even now, many of the models are still quite good, but in the future I'm not likely to buy another one. For me, it'll be a diesel powered vehicle by one of the European makers most likely.

Selling their share of Daimler is just to shuffle the debt.

Everyone remembers Nissan for what they are.

If China never gets troubled by American dealership systems as well as national security excuses, most of the American cars would easily be Chinese by now.

Hyundai and Kia are pretty impressive.

man, Mazda's are underrated asf. Love Mazda cars. They've been killing it in recent years in fun to drive experience, design and reliability.

Remove Renault cross shareholding and then Nissan will rise again.

Ghosn brought Nissan out bankruptcy with the Skyline GTR and was man responsible for bringing Renault into involvement with Nissan. Guy was a national hero until he was thrown under the bus. You need to check your history...

So this is the EXACT reason why Taiwanese executives controlling SHARP are not getting arrested? But biases could reverse and they could be arrested anytime. I would be nervous about that and consider my escape plan from Japan if I were one of them. But is that the same thing with Chinese companies? Because Lenovo has control over NEC PC business.
