Maybe not from the tailpipe but certainly from the smoke stack of the electric power stations.

It's still one of the most awful looking cars available anywhere. Can anyone tell which is the front and which is the back? Although it's probably designed for those who hate cars but feel they need one anyway. or those who are just smug about believing they are being "eco".
And not much use to anyone who doesn't have internal parking with a handy power supply. Just imagine parking the thing 20 metres from your front door with the power cable running up a flight of steps (to be tripped over by your neighbours), and having to stand there in the rain some day - arms full of shopping and an umbrella) wrestling to attach the awkwardly shaped power supply cable...... If you don't, then it won't be charged up when you're in a hurry to go somewhere the next morning. Ever rushed out to your car to get somewhere at a certain time and found that it had absolutely no petrol? No, I didn't think so. But that will happen with a plug-in fully electric car - maybe not the first week, but some day, for sure. I wonder what the re-sale value will be, and how many repeat customers Nisaan will get....

And the emissions related to production. According to the most recent scientific american issue, all electric cars emit more emissions in total than hybrid cars.

And hybrid cars, once you factor in all the batteries and electrical components, have a larger "environmental footprint" than a "regular" small car. It's a harsh fact that saving energy in one form often uses more in others. I guess that's the difference between being sustainable and being green?

Another wonder of America is that you're likely to encounter extreme temperatures.
Either extreme heat which will require a lot of a/c and shorten your range considerably or extreme cold, in which case your battery will be severely weakened.

Would work for me! I commute oh 75 km per day. We have the Accord for longer trips. Can keep him recharged in the 2 car garage. One of the wonders of America along with central heat and ac.
