Nissin is doing what is only natural in a time of crisis. I saw on TV today that supermarkets are still charging people for goods. They should be handing them out, then charging the government for them. People should not be expected to use their own money in a time like this.

ilcub76: Really? Because if things were free here in Tokyo, then I would make continuous trips to every store in the area, carting off every nonperishable and long shelf-life food that I could! Especially the two import stores! I can barely afford to eat in a normal month, this would be like heaven!
Although I don't need it.
That's why it would be a very bad idea to make food free. Sendai, of course is another story.

1,000,000 packets of noodles free from Nissin for quake victims. Suntory to deliver 360,000 bottles of water to victims also good. Good job by Nissin.
What about the other N225 companies ??
Nothing to contribute to alleviate ,woes of quake victims???

Through difficult time and crisis, we can know how to share with others our luck and resources. More foods and beverage and medicines and apparel companies will join the rescue and supply programs until everyone resumes to a normal life, at least weeks or months or years. Cash allowance will be disbursed by governmental agencies. people are looking for their missing relatives and keep healthy through winter weather.
Please share your wealth and contribute more, even you are Japanese or foreigners in Japan or abroad.

What about the other N225 companies ??
NTT allowing free phone calls from public phones, Softbank allowing free texting, Banks allowing withdrawals without usual protocols...
Citizens and companies, they're all pitching in one way or the other.

Also, read that Sony donated radios.

Now Uniqlo has donated many heat-techs. Countless other donations pouring in from many businesses.

Nissin did this during the Kobe earthquake too.
