How so?

How so?

Argument 1:

In the Reuters poll, 19% of big firms sought to cut nuclear power’s role to zero, but 39% called for 15% by 2030,

So that is 44% of the companies that want to see a reduction. Considering the views of companies before the disaster, this is a huge change.

Argument 2: Even if your numbers had been correct, it is nicer to focus on the positive, i.e the part that want to change to something better. Rather than the negative, i.e the ones that want to stay in the nuclear power stone age. :-)

Watch Noda try to roll over the J public who overwhelmingly support the zero option by using the result of this survey to scaremonger about companies moving overseas and job losses and to try and push the 15 % option as govt. policy. That's what he seems to have wanted from the beginning in order to appease the corrupt N-village and his big business buddies.Sure hope the J-public will not waver from their determination to see the zero option declared as govt. policy.

Focusing on the short term profits and ignoring the long term consequences. It's how people make mistakes all the time. We should not forget that if there ever were to be another nuclear accident, then ALL of these companies can say good bye. These guys are myopic morons.

Wow, 80% support for nuclear power, quite some "growing anti-nuclear clamor" that is.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Don't take statistics from the selfish profiteering companies (and their nuke village accomplices) to determine what is good for the citizens. People have already taken their stand. Any good business worth the salt should put people and their safety ahead of profits

Strong yen + abundant and cheap natural gas in U.S., Canada, and Australia = ???
