Well done Japanese prosecutoes. And so-called judges. You have wrecked not only Nissan, but the integity of Japan.

Or, you know, well done the entirety of involved Nissan management and accounting for not showing enough compliance to prevent a blunder like this.

Yes, that as well.

.... and the calibre of Nissan's board (or ex-board). Well done Saikawa.

More light has to be directed at Saikawa who got this whole mess rolling because he was afraid Ghosn was going to dump him.

All they had to do was follow protocol and pay off Ghosn into retiring like they don dozens of time before whenever they wanted someone gone (no proof just speculation) , but no they tried to take the moral high road with with the fact the c suite has enough secrets, backdeals, and corruption to choke amaterasu.

Ghosn is guilty but the hypocrisy of the situation is stifling.

regardless dig a 3 foot hole you’ll find 4 bodies, dig a 6 foot hole …

Bulk of the problem was due to the internal bickering and backstabbing by Nissan executives! They tried to remove Ghosn by colluding with the prosecutors and made non- issue or tiny issue at most into this huge thing! Now they suffer because of this baseless criminal proceedings!

Lol, I hope the investors win. Japanese Nissan execs brought this upon themselves with the farce they created to remove the gaijin at rhe top of the company. It's been a sham from day 1 and I hope this lawsuit hurts them where it counts.

The investors maintain that Nissan could easily have forecast a drop in stock prices due to damaged trust in the company's accounting and corporate governance if the incident was reported by news media.

The plot was planned, so the fallout is definitely known.

Nissan brought it to themselves, now they suffer the consequences.

The Japanese can gesticulate as much as they want they are locked. Not only Renault owns 43 percent of the company but the French state is the main shareholder with 15.01 percent against only 15 percent for Nissan after clever maneuvering from the French state. Plus the 15 percent share of Nissan has no voting right while the French shares have double voting rights. ...  so in summary in the end the one who controls Renault and Nissan/ Mitsubishi Motors is the French State. Renault can still cause massive frustration to the Japanese nationalists forever, and the French won't ever sell their position in both companies since they are hardcore statists as Japanese elites.

The only thing the Japanese heads of Nissan can do to offset their nationalist frustrations is to shoot a bullet in their foot by ruining Nissan and therefore Renault. What is funny is that Renault was nationalized in 1945 because of collaboration !!! So, the French government will absorb the losses of Renault and immediately attempt to absorb the weakened Nissan-Mitsubishi Motors if there's a chance.

Carlos Ghosn's financial misconduct cases dented share prices,

Investing on the stock market is gambling. Can you sue a casino if you lose money?

Stick another nail in Nissan's coffin. They knew what would happen if they forcibly removed Ghosn. They made their bed and they should lay in it.

How long has Kelly been 'on trial in Japan' now? Is it longer than anyone would be sentenced to serve, for what he has been charged with?

Nissan execs may have accidentally discovered the opposite of 'soft power'. Perhaps the authorities could mark this by putting up a small plaque at Nissan HQ.

As an investor myself, I have pulled everything out of Nissan and put everything into Space X.
