I'm no fan of either Porsche or VW - both character-less cars, and indeed both have somewhat dubious histories.

The UK used to have some decent Cars - but nowadays they're mostly owned by overseas entities - Indians ... and now sadly - Chinese - as the latest news reported today, is that Aston Martin has had a stake sold to the Chinese Company "Geely" ... so James Bond should no longer be seen to be driving A.M.'s in future movies.

I’ve driven VWs and Porsches and Have can assure any reader that they are very characterful cars!

Probably the car with the most design-character of all time.
