Ghosn is only being replaced so that Renault can rein in Nissan, they using their shareholder power, rightfully, to replace the C-Level at Nissan.

I wonder, will they welcome Ghosen back if he is found not guilty of all charges?

OMG, there are big differences between tires and cars.

.
Yes. True.
.
However Renault seems like fromer Michelin execs. Ghosn is one

French wouldn't have replaced Ghosn unless they were convinced of his guilt.
Aly Rustom
excellent advice! and I would add that the way the French gov has thrown Ghosn under the bus is shameful.

So saikawa next move just to shake this alliance, reason why Renault was brought in the first place is to save Nissan from bankruptcy. Now Renault is not needed anymore.

The article is about management changes at Renault, not Nissan. They are not foreigners, they are both French.
Are you sure it was not because they can't communicate with him and he is being physically prevented from doing his job for what looks like many months? But maybe you have info nobody else has about his guilt or innocence, and about Renault's strategic thinking.

If they took advantage of Carlos leadership for 20 years and destroyed him for the manipulative plan to destroy the alliance, whats in store for you then..

This new guy should fire all the old people from the board, including Saikawa and bring in fresh new talent.. if he wants to survive that is, Saikawa and co only have crocodile tears in store..

It makes sense. You can't run a company or companies from inside a jail cell with no visitation rights. Whilst Renault may have wished to kept faith with Ghosn and still employ him; they have to consider the immediate needs of the rest of the company and its future.

@tinawatanabe :
Maybe you should invest in real companies instead of just forex so you can better understand how MNCs work.
Ghosn has been wanting to retire since a few years ago and dropped a dozen hints in all the shareholder meetings since early 2010s. Renault just accelerated the scheme.
Saikawa is incompetent and orchestrated the arrest so he can play the "true Japanese shogun of a Japanese company" - since he took over where has Nissan's brand gone other than downwards? What happened to their car at the Detroit Auto Show?
If you want to see if he is guilty or not, see if he is still on the board. Otherwise, he isn't guilty; the prosecutors are.

Ghosn wanted to retire to do what? spend time with his family? No. He had been extended his tenure by Macron a few years ago.
It seems he accepted a resignation request from France.

Renault has no seen nothing yet. Opening a new page before closing a old one is sheer bad management.
