Roberto Cavalli to open 1st Japan flagship store

Roberto Cavalli will open the brand’s first ever flagship store in Japan, following a growing presence in the Japanese market with shops in major department stores and select shops. The new Flagship Store is scheduled to open to the public in mid-September, located at 5-5-4 Minami-Aoyama

The designer Roberto Cavalli plans to visit Japan in November to celebrate the opening of this important point of sale with a grand event, which will be the reference for all activities of the Roberto Cavalli Group in Japan.

A two-story structure with a surface area of 300 square meters, the Aoyama boutique will embody the modern elegance and glamour of the Cavalli world, and will represent the Maison’s concept of a “global fashion store,” already present in the other flagship stores in major cities of the world such as Milan, Paris, London, New York, and Las Vegas.

The boutique will host the prêt-à-porter womenswear and menswear collections, as well as the accessories, eyewear, watch, and underwear collections. The layout of the space has been carefully designed in such a way to emphasize the various product categories present in the boutique.

The ground floor will be dedicated to accessories: handbags, small leather goods, belts, eyewear, jewelry, watches, and menswear. The second floor will be dedicated primarily to womenswear, eveningwear, shoes, and accessories, and will also feature a special VIP room, complete with unique evening dresses.

Roberto Caravalli is the premier designer at Neiman Marcus so the merchandise is a bit on the high end. Instead his just Caravalli is a more affordable high fashion brand. It's a up-scale boutique and is the same as walking into a Saks Fifth Avenue. His merchandise is classy and features a variety of metallic tones which is not too bad but the snake skin pumps, fashion jewelry and eyewear is what I like. My favorite is their selection of fun, sexy party dresses. It's unduly expensive but the quality is exceptional and perfect for evening wear.

cavalli is a pretty cool designer, but 15,000 yen for a t-shirt is a bit much. i'll stick with katherina hamnet, p. smith and burberry black label.

I've seen his menswear and it's a bit flamboyant for my taste. That said, young Japanese guys will probably take to it.
