The airline's troubles deepened this year because of the trade dispute between Japan and South Korea, which resulted in lower demand for trips between the two countries, as well as a weak won against the dollar.

You aren't hearing of Asahi, Kirin or Sapporo having any deepening financial struggles as a result of this trade dispute.

Exactly. The South Korean boycott of Japanese goods did nothing in real terms as the South Korean market was just a small portion of Japan's exports. If South Korea was to do any damage to Japan's economy, they'd literally have to bomb factories and airports/sea ports.
